Iam very sorry that I cannot be there to farewell you old mate and commiserate with Louise and your kids.
You were a QTU organiser in earlier , tougher times than I faced. I was glad for your stories and counsel.
I will always remember your letter to the editor about principals accepting 30 pieces of silver to sign schools up for Leading Schools in 1997. They got 5% extra that noone else did. It was like you kicked a rock over - all the insects scurrying around in high dudgeon at the "slander". Commissioner Ray Dempsey instead thought it was apt, given it was written about Easter time.
Sleep well and peacefully, Warren.
