It is with great sadness that the family of Tooa Unasa (Sue Crichton) announce her passing on Monday 1^st May 2023 at the age of 68.

Tooa will be lovingly remembered by her children and spouses: Christina & Trent, Elisabeth & Marty, Eileen, Mathew & Larrisa and Gabrielle & Stuart and her grandchildren who adored her: Alliyah, Jeremiah, Xavier, Reuben, Keanu, Alijah, Mayci, Tane and Oriana. Admired sister to Titimaea, Tualagi, Taeario, Sifoua, Taeauro, Valelia and Hani and sincere friend to so many. Tooa was predeceased by her parents, Unasa and Tofaga, siblings Ulavale, Fogalefatu & Talavou and infant son John.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.

Relative and friends are respectfully invited to attend the private memorial service for Tooa at Mackay Whitsunday Funerals on 209 Shakespeare St, Mackay, Friday 5th of May at 1:00pm. A burial service will proceed at Mt Bassett Cemetery.

Tooa was renowned for her colourful humour and comedic approach to life and in true Tooa/Sue style, she requested for bright tropical Polynesian styles to be worn at her funeral.

What a shock to hear of Tooas’ passing. My heart goes out to you, her family and friends . We met at the St Pauls Opshop Proserpine , where she coloured our day and fed us beautiful exotic food at tea break . She was meant to be part of our Community for years as a bright ray of sunshine . Her love for her family and grandchildren overflowed in her joyful banter. I can’t imagine your grief, but I hope to follow Tooas’ memorial . I pray that you are all blessed by the Comforting Spirit of our Father in Heaven. We all await the Resurrection and the joy of greeting Christ Jesus 🙏🦋💖
