Tributes

Janet was a lovely friend and we had many cups of tea and lunches at Porters. Afterwards she loved browsing the Gardening section and I did my best to get her out of there without buying anything!! Janet loved cooking, her scones were always welcomed at church morning teas and she loved to laugh and enjoy life. She had a faith in God that she held onto and I believe she is now resting in God’s loving arms. A dear friend who will be missed. Love to her family who she talked about often and treasured very much.

Dear Lyn,
Thank you so much for being such a lovely friend to Mum. She really valued her friendship groups and would often talk about her time and activities - going to Porters, playing bowls and her involvement with church. I will miss her cooking and yes her scones were indeed popular.
She will be missed and will always be in our hearts as an inspiration and an example of how to live a good life!
All the best
Peter (her Son in Victoria).

Auntie Jan, unfortunately, we never got to spend much time together, however, I do have some memories of you and Eric visiting Dad in Hobart.
I know that you were there for Dad when he was a young boy after the passing of his parents and for this, we truly appreciate you. It couldn't have been easy, you as a young woman, and my Dad the ratbag.
I hear from Pete recently that the ratbag gene may have originated from you...to Dad... to me... and rest assured... I have passed it to my lovely Nat (affectionately titled Nat Rat).
Rest now....I do wonder which Romeo will retain your heart up there, but kick up your heels and have a dance, Lord knows, you deserve it.
Rest easy,
Sally (daughter of Charles)

Dear Sally, Thank you for your lovely tribute to Mum. She was always a free spirit - more so now. Hopefully, we can meet up again after such a long time since my Tassie visit many years ago. Nat Rad certainly sounds lively.
Your Cuz Pete xxx
