  • My sincere sympathy to Liz, Hans’ daughters and all the Binnekamp family. I grew up near Muswellbrook and Hans’ mum was one of my reachers at Scone High School, but I didn’t really know Hans until we met at Baxter College at UNSW in 1985. Hans was always a kind and generous person, a good friend and I don’t recall him ever saying a harsh word about anyone. We had lost touch after uni, but reconnected in recent years online - he was always ready with a witty comment on my various adventures. I know he will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.

  • Dear Liz and Family, my deepest condolences. I was deeply saddened to hear of Hans' passing last week as he was not just a work college but also a good friend. Hans was fun to be around at work and regularly cracked some of the worst dad jokes just to bring about the smiles and lighten the mood in stressful situations. Hans was always willing to go the extra mile to get the task done to his high standards and was an honest and trustworthy influence on those around him and will certainly be missed. May you find comfort in the memories you have shared with Hans in the past months that he had been gifted to spend with you all. love Brett Wass

  • Dear Mr and Mrs Binnekamp, Karen and Marlene and to the family of Hans. I would like you to know that I send my condolences and am thinking of you at this very sad time. Having spent all of my highschool years at Muswellbrook Highschool in Hans's class, I have only fond memories if Hañs as the most kind, sincere and caring young man who was extremely bright but so quietly unassuming and humble. Hans was a good person, a good friend to all of us and I will always remember him fondly. All my love and best wishes, from Vanessa
